Boca de Tomatlán is a dreamy fishing village only thirty minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, set against the natural terrain of beach, river, mountains, and jungle. The town attracts travelers looking for the famous hikes to Colomitos, Las Animas, and Quimixto — gorgeous little beaches to the south, accessible by foot or water taxis. If you are looking for a spot away from the bustling crowds of Vallarta but close enough to enjoy a night out, Boca de Tomatlán is an excellent choice.
Our Place
The town of Boca de Tomatlán is bisected by a river and Casa Cereza is accessed via a pedestrian bridge. This side of the river is gently shaded by mountains and jungle. Our property is a small intimate oasis consisting of our living space and three apartments, each with their own personality and decor, indoor and outdoor dining area, and spacious interconnected patio areas. We strive to create a space of cordiality, peaceful ambiance, and casual interaction. For more about us, the town, and the surrounding areas — visit our About Page.
Accessibility: The roads into town are not all paved and our house is accessed via pedestrian bridges (some are temporary) that cross the river. The paths to get to our units are on uneven terrain and the town is rustic — all of these conditions create significant challenges to anyone with mobility issues or those using mobility aids.
