Boca de Tomatlan is a dreamy fishing village only thirty minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, set against the natural terrain of beach, river, mountains, and jungle. The town attracts travelers looking for the famous hikes to Colomitos, Las Animas, and Quimixto — gorgeous little beaches to the south, accessible by foot or water taxis. Swimming, fishing, snorkeling, whale watching, diving, kayaking, and zip lining tours are easily arranged from Boca. Water taxis come and go all day taking happy travelers to and fro to beaches and town to the south accessible only my hiking or by boat. Boca is a friendly little beach and fishing town, with infectious charm and an unmatched ambience of natural beauty. If you are looking for a true Mexican experience of food, customs, people and natural terrain away from the bustling crowds of the city but close enough to enjoy a night out, Boca de Tomatlan is an excellent choice.
Our Place
The town of Boca de Tomatlan is bisected by a river and Casa Cereza is accessed via a pedestrian bridge. This side of the river is gently shaded by mountains and jungle. Our property is a small intimate estate consisting of our living space and three apartments, each with their own personality and decor, indoor and outdoor dining area, and spacious interconnected patio areas. Although each apartment has its own defined outdoor space, we strive to create a space of cordiality, peaceful ambiance, and casual interaction. For more about us, the town, and the surrounding areas — visit our About Page.
Accessibility: Some of the roads into town are not paved and our units are only available via uneven (often temporary) pedestrian bridges across the river. The paths to get to our units are on natural uneven terrain, the town is rustic and small and all of these conditions create significant challenges to anyone with mobility issues or those using mobility aids.
